Itinerary: Oman General Tour Route

Day 1

Muscat City Tour & Arrival Experience

Your journey begins on arrival in Muscat, where you are met and transferred to your hotel. Later, enjoy a relaxed Muscat Oman tour, introducing the capital’s main landmarks and coastal atmosphere.

White stone architecture reflects the afternoon light as the city eases you into the route ahead. Overnight in Muscat.

Muscat to Nizwa, Bahla & Jabrin Castles

Depart Muscat inland on the classic Muscat to Nizwa route. Visit Nizwa Fort and explore the surrounding souq, a key stop on any Oman heritage tour and Oman cultural tour.

Continue to Bahla Fort and Jabrin Castle, known for its painted ceilings and historic rooms. Drive onward toward the mountain region.

Nizwa & Jebel Akhdar Mountain Route

 

Travel into the highlands of Jebel Akhdar, forming the heart of the Nizwa Jebel Akhdar experience. Walk among terraced villages and viewpoints that define the Oman mountain tour side of the journey.

Cool air and wide valleys contrast sharply with the lowlands below. Overnight in Jebel Akhdar.

Jebel Akhdar to Wahiba Sands & Wadi Bani Khalid
